Software Developer
Software Engineering, Full-time Position, 1 January 2014

After 8 years of research and prototyping, Optivation has founded a joint venture with INTERSCHALT Maritime Systems with the objective of launching the first containership stowage tool with integrated optimization in second quarter of 2014.

The tool is called STOWMAN[s] and is an extension of STOWMAN, which is an integrated load computer and planning tool offered by INTERSCHALT with a marked share of 15 percent.

We are looking for two software developers to join our team and help us implement GUI components of the optimization module. The GUI is written in C# but also expect to work with C++ which is used for our optimization module.
Since we develop advanced optimization and analytics algorithms, a MSc in computer science or equivalent is required and a specialization in optimization and/or analytics is an advantage. It is also an advantage if you have some experience with large software systems.
